I Love Technology

My dearest friends know that I lived a life for 20-plus years were I was figuratively cryogenically frozen from technology...now that my hubby spoils me I'm enjoying three computers, GPS, and a Blackberry.    How long did you think it would be before I had my own website?    Check out www.annekarlsson.com !

ROTC Ad

This is the second time that our youngest son, JK, has been in an Army advertisement for Army ROTC.   In this photograph, the young woman to the right is his lovely wife (then fiance) Emily.
This ad was full size on the back cover of the November 2008 edition of Blender magazine.

West Point

What did you do today? I went to Keller Army Community Hopsital at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY, for a routine doctor's appointment. Yep, lucky me, I get all my medical care there, and I say lucky me because they are awesome folks and it is such a very good hospital. We're fortunate enough to still have actual Army doctors. It is so great to go there and see Soldiers in ACUs (Picatinny Arsenal where Richard is assigned has very few military members).

Preparing the nest for the baby bird to return

My adorable husband's middle child is struggling alone in another state since we relocated two years ago. To help her get on her feet and into college, we are bringing her here to live with us. It will take me a few weeks to get things ready because all my clothes are in the room she is going to use, so I have to move them (most of them don't fit anyway so this isn't such a big thing - I'll just take them to the Salvation Army). After two years of being here I also have it on my agenda to finally unpack the boxes that are in the basement and garage!
